The reply happened to leave out that they were very understaffed that night because they were low on servers that happened to be out for personal reasons. You cant always tell a review is bad just by reading itĪ restaurant me and my family go to sometimes had a customer who posted a lengthy review about how their experience was awful: food was late, servers couldn't check in much, got a rude "have a nice day" on the way out, stuff like that Your unpopular opinion does shed some light on what kind of customer you probably are. If you had read my response you'd think it was more likely I was lying than a customer made a mistake? Customers are only human too. So I responded to say that the customer had informed me she reviewed the wrong shop and was actually happy with my product. But for whatever reason she did not edit or remove the horrible review she left on my page. When I inquired about the issue in a private message to her she apologized and said she loved my product and meant to leave that review for someone else. I've had a customer leave me a negative review for a product she didn't even buy from me and she just reviewed the wrong seller. If it's one word against the other, why automatically assume it's the business that's lying? Surely you're aware that customers also lie/are blatantly wrong sometimes? It's their word against yours and whenever I see it, I just assume the owner is lying to discredit the reviewer and save face. Feel free to use the Politics Megathread pinned to the front page.
