(I quickly tried a DVD and it seems to behave the same.)Ī. ![]() I'm zooming and repositioning so that it fills a 1280 x 720 screen. I'm running a 480p transport stream with a letterbox 16:9 image. Problems happen with ZP 4.51 and 5.00 p6 & 7ĥ. I'm seeing it with both the 196 and 223 versions of the Purevideo decoderĤ. All 91 series drivers seem to have the problem including the latest official beta 91.33. I and one other person earlier reported problems with zoom/resize with the 91 series drivers.ġ. So, if anyone is suffering from glitches with the 91.31 drivers, now is the time to let me know what the glitches are, and details on your system (video renderer used, format played, decoder used, etc.). I know there are 93.xx or maybe even newer drivers hanging about, but they are not official. Not to mention that if you use the new control panel, it keeps restoring the tray icon, even after you select to disable it. I would say the new control panel is quite bad, just opening it freezes my computer for a few seconds (mouse not moving), not to mention the are some layout issues with in on my machine and for some reason it doesn't even show up in english, even though I downloaded the english version and my machine is a fully english version of Windows XP (and the location and primary language are set to U.S./english. I did encounter several other glitches, which aren't related to media playback. I can't replicate any of the issues mentioned, no partially covered user interface when auto-size user interface to maintain aspect ratio or fit source size are enabled. One other way is to select the Color Management Tab and select one of the profiles which will force the monitor into high contrast, low brightness or inverted colors.I finally had some free time to test the new NVIDIA 91.31 drivers, the official drivers currently available for download from the NVIDIA site. keep in mind this effects the 'monitor' in 'how it displays' not the OS/desktop itself which I am assuming is what you're after.Īlthou, if you have some built-in standard-nameless graphic card and don't have those extra-advanced options you can still adjust the global display the same way under the advanced Tab, slightly different sliders for changing the contrast etc. I have the Nvidia desktop manager which gives me the extra tab but it if its a ATI card, much is similar, so you can adjust brightness, contrast, gamma and color that way. ![]() So try, Display Properties, Settings, Advanced. If you want a universal way of changing-applying color management settings globally, althou there are some 3rd party softwares that do this as well, I've never bothered with them, money for nothing - don't use the windows 'Theme or Appearance' options bc as you noticed its limited in what it affects. Basically its about your monitor display rather than altering the operating system's display. Hmmm, lets all go Mac! I'll admit Macs are more user friendly, but if you don't have one, got to use with what you got, especially at work heh. ![]()
